Hi, I’m Scott Milner, and I’m proud to welcome you to MotorCarNutGlass.com – a homegrown hub for classic car lovers, automotive restoration fanatics, and anyone who appreciates the timeless art of automotive glass. What started as a personal obsession with vintage cars has evolved into a dedicated resource where craftsmanship, history, and community intersect.

Who We Are
MotorCarNutGlass.com is more than just a name – it’s a reflection of a lifelong passion. The site is built on three core ideas:
- Motor – representing the mechanical soul of every vehicle.
- Car Nut – that’s me (and probably you too), someone who lives and breathes classic cars.
- Glass – the overlooked, yet essential detail that brings both style and safety to every ride.
This website was created for people like us: restorers, collectors, custom builders, or weekend warriors working out of a two-car garage. No matter your experience level, your dream project, or your budget, we believe everyone deserves access to high-quality information, rare parts, and a supportive automotive community.
Meet the Man Behind the Site – Scott Milner
I’m not a corporation. I’m not a big chain auto shop. I’m just a guy with grease under my nails, a garage that’s never quite big enough, and a deep respect for the craftsmanship of old cars. I’ve been wrenching since I was a teenager, learning hands-on from my father and grandfather, both of whom restored cars long before it was “cool.”
Over the decades, I’ve built, restored, bought, sold, and salvaged dozens of vehicles – from American muscle to European classics and everything in between. But what really got my gears turning was one overlooked area: automotive glass.
Why glass? Because while most collectors focus on engines and paint, I noticed how often the glass was scratched, hazy, cracked, or completely mismatched. Finding the right replacement or even knowing what to look for was frustratingly hard. That’s when I started documenting everything I learned – and MotorCarNutGlass.com was born.

Our Mission
At MotorCarNutGlass.com, our mission is simple:
To preserve the history and artistry of classic cars through education, authenticity, and community – one piece of glass at a time.
Glass isn’t just a part of the car – it’s a statement. A wraparound windshield, a bubble backlight, a finely curved side window – these are design features that defined eras. They deserve to be preserved, appreciated, and restored correctly.
That’s why every article, every photo, and every recommendation on this site is created with care, tested in real-world conditions, and updated with your feedback.
Why Focus on Glass?
You might be wondering: out of all the car parts, why focus on glass?
The answer is simple: it’s one of the most overlooked, yet most important, components of any vehicle.
- Safety – Cracked or improperly installed glass can be a major hazard.
- Style – The lines of a car are completed by the flow of its windows and windshield.
- Authenticity – The right glass can mean the difference between a good restoration and a museum-quality build.
- Scarcity – Original glass is hard to find. Knowing what to look for is half the battle.
As an enthusiast, I realized that too many restorers settle for “close enough” because they can’t find the right info. My goal is to fix that.
